We are a very friendly and committed Scout Group based in Wraysbury Village in Berkshire.
We were formed in 1922 when the land was leased my Mrs. Barrington-Kennett who purchased a WW1 army hut. The group disbanded and reformed several times between 1927 and 1978 but has operated continuously since 1978. In October 2006 the building was knocked down and our new HQ was opened by Prince Phillip in 2008.
We’re always keen to have new members come along and the emphasis is on having fun while helping the young people in our Group learn life skills that will help them become a valuable member of society.
We have a varied and lively list of activities and most of the children that join us in Beavers stay on until they are in Scouts. The Cubs and Scout section have summer and winter camps, where they go away overnight, to try great activities.
We try to get out and about with all our Sections but are reliant on parents to help and get involved.
